In Telugu, each glyph represents one syllable. The first consonant is written as normal, but if there is a second or long consonant a second small symbol is written underneath. Most of these symbols are exactly the same as normal, minus the checkmark indicating a vowel (Example: గ+్+గ -> గ్గ). However there are some exceptions, in this lesson we will look at those. All double consonants will be represented using 'క' as the base glyph.
