About

Occitan is a Romance language primarily spoken in the south of France, parts of Italy, the Aran Valley in Spain as well as in the city-state of Monaco. It is also the third official language in Catalonia alongside Spanish and Catalan. The Languedocien (var. Lengadocian, Languedocian) dialect is spoken in the centre of Occitania, a linguistic/cultural region where Occitan is traditionally spoken.
